Its been a while since I created my last blog.
Well, it has been been for over 48 hours already due to the typhoon. I decided to stay in the office to not encounter the hassle of traffic, wind, and rain. Well, I really don't like the rainy weather because I feel gloomy in that kind of weather. I want it to be sunny and dry...hehehe
Not being in my home for quite a while became a huge adjustment for me. I became contented with what I have for the moment (not to mention its raining, I can't even go out to go to other places on my idle time...) and budget the money that I have. May be this is the down side of being in a Call center.

Unable to do what you want (sometimes)... uneven work load... and rain or shine you MUST be in the office... Well, as what my colleague told me, our setup as a 'pioneering team' of the company is very different on a 'typical' call center that can be found in Libis, here in Makati or in Ortigas. Though we had a 24/7 operations, our setup is more laid back. The calls were not that much but the time you will handle each case or client's inquiry can take quite a while to get as much detail as possible. We are laid back because at times clients would call only on office hours and few on the evening and there could be calls from HongKong during the early morning.
Yesterday was very unique because we have to say our goodbye to our Training specialist because she will pursue a career on another company. Of course, though we are not that close, parting with someone is such a sad moment. We had spent almost a year working in our company. My call center experience cannot be compared with that of documented scenarios over the television programs like non-stop talking in other nation's accents. As my first job it was a humbling experience to learn many things by myself and to learn from other people as well. I can say that my communication skills was broaden in a way. I can now talk to anyone without getting intimidated by the way I sound when I speak in a foreign language. Even learning the office culture and brainstorming with an array of ideas and more. Though there are many jobs available, I don't see myself leaving my team in the near future.
