packed lunch

Last Saturday, the management decided to allow us be out to celebrate our 1st Anniversary. unlike other Anniversary, there is no party... no loud sounds... no grand buffet...

Our call center manager decided to celebrate it with a cause. Since the past typhoon Ketsana (Ondoy) devastated the metro with massive flash flood. Leaving our fellow Pinoys, homeless... property-less... and nowhere to go. There were several areas became casualty due to that disaster. Media shows the heart-warming Bayanihan spirit came across the need for help and service.

In leiu of an out of town event for our Anniversay, we decided to provide a lunch for the victims of the flood in Barangay Bagong Silangan, Quezon city. We were able to feed approximately 300 people. It was a very humbling experience... Appreciating that we are very to not be affected by the flood. Hearing few 'Thank you's' makes it worth the sweat and sacrifice. Though there were some unexpected circumstances, well we will just stick with the memorable and meaningful celebration of our 1st Anniversary.

Afterwards, we went to the La Mesa EcoPark to have a late lunch together. Having the same lunch with that of what we gave the residents, we first offered a prayer then have our lunch.
Then we explored the area of the EcoPark and took some pictures. :)

We had fun because the place was very relaxing. How I wish every town the Philippines was covered with trees same as the EcoPark. If this happens, flash flood will not be an issue, i bet.
Some of us decided to drop by Trinoma mall to chill out.
